Job Description

The People Consultant is part of People Advisory within People Operations and will report to the People Consultant Manager.

You will work with the Employee Relations & Case Management team within People Operations, they provide any local Labour or Works Council considerations for employee relations cases that are being managed within their region or department. The People Consultant will also support with local language requirements.

What you'll do:

  • You will manage any local, legal or regulatory query management that is unable to be resolved by People Services Tier 1/2.

  • Partner with the local markets to provide local labour law/HR policy knowledge

  • You'll be responsible for individual case management when it comes to complex employee relation cases such as long-term sickness, exits...

  • Provide local language support for HR queries, support with handling local employment related documentation

  • Work with the Employee Relations & People consultant team, to provide local Labour law and manage Works Council engagements within France

  • Collaborate together with the People Business Partners on complex employee cases and partner with local business leaders

  • Improve of the services provided by People Advisory

What you'll need:

  • Knowledge of local labour law (France) and its complexities

  • Command of English and French language

  • Handle difficult cases/situations (performance interviews, disciplinary action)

  • Encourage and facilitate the transversality and knowledge sharing across the teams and with other partners.

  • 3+ years experience as HRBP or similar

  • Identify different sources and opportunities to acquire and apply new skills; ensure that knowledge is up-to-date in the project/department.

  • Educate team members in adopting an iterative solution approach

  • Identify and take advantage of business opportunities, provide guidelines for the department to recover quickly after setbacks

  • Advocate alternative ideas with colleagues and partners

  • Find solutions and create value propositions.

  • Create clear communication materials to convey technical concepts in a user-friendly and engaging way.

  • Manage progress of projects, making final decisions about priorities, timing and resources.
