Job Description

Working within the Legal Department and reporting to the Head of Legal France, the successful candidate, a true business partner, will be able to work on a variety of subjects directly related to the strategic orientations and major projects of leboncoin/Adevinta.  ;

You will be responsible for the operational management of 2 lawyers and will advise and assist the operational teams in all areas of law (business law, competition law, contract law, consumer law, personal data law, ...), excluding labor law.

The main tasks of the successful candidate are as follows:

  • Work closely with the head of the French legal team on all legal issues,

  • Operational management of two persons based in France, working respectively for the automotive market and the real estate and employment market,

  • Analyze legal risks and propose corresponding action plans when developing new projects or setting up external partnerships,

  • Draft and negotiate all legal documents relating to the leboncoin Group's projects and commercial operations (RFP, customer and supplier commercial contracts, service provision contracts, purchase and sales contracts, NDA) in support of the operational teams,

  • Provide legal support and advice to internal operational teams on all matters relating to the performance and interpretation of contracts, commercial law, competition law, consumer law, personal data law, intellectual property law, etc;

  • Manage and monitor litigation and pre-litigation with customers/third parties, in collaboration with external advisors (lawyers, experts, etc.) where necessary.

  • Monitor legal updates in the above areas and, where necessary, draft notes and implement legislative developments.

Profile:

  • With a degree in business law - contracts - economic law or digital law (Master 2), you have at least 7 years' experience, ideally acquired in a company or law firm in the e-commerce and digital sector;

  • You are familiar with consumer law, contract law, competition law and new technologies, and have a good understanding of personal data and intellectual property law;

  • You have developed a taste for and strong skills in supporting operational staff, and your interpersonal skills will enable you to integrate quickly into a legal department and a company;

  • Pragmatic and open-minded, you are recognized for your rigor, sense of priorities, dynamism and adaptability;

  • Curious, autonomous, a good teacher and proactive, you seek out information, your risk analyses are business-oriented, and you have the ability to find appropriate solutions to problems, and if necessary propose alternatives;

  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and summarize;

  • A perfect command of French and English is essential for this position;

  • Good computer and Internet skills.
