Job Description

Join our dynamic Advertising Team as a Business Development Manager (d/f/m), specializing in first-party advertising. You will collaborate with a team of expert business consultants, focusing on advancing our first-party advertising initiatives. Your primary objective is to lead strategic efforts that align with our overarching business objectives, particularly in growing our First Party Advertising proposition. You will steer our go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our 1P Shopping & Display proposition and participate in comprehensive market research. Your role will involve strategic consultation across business and product & engineering teams, adept stakeholder management, financial alignment, and in-depth market analysis, all with an emphasis on nurturing innovation and driving sustainable growth. You will report directly to Team Lead Business Development Advertising. This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Berlin.

What you will do:

  • Develop GTM capability: you will work with the Head of Retail Media, Sales, and Account Management Team Leads to execute our GTM strategy. Support the operationalization and scaling of our GTM markets, identifying gaps and opportunities, translating and driving them as actionable solutions. 

  • P&E Expertise: translate customer needs into comprehensive business cases, ensuring alignment across the teams. Develop and implement processes, while converting sales and customer insights into strategic narratives for senior leadership. Champion business cases through the roadmap process, ensuring their integration into the broader business strategy.

  • Strategic Consultation: perform as a business lead in counterpart with the Head of Retail Media based on a broad knowledge of the 1P business locally and globally. 

  • Stakeholder Management: engage with diverse groups of senior stakeholders, providing precise and robust consultation. Foster collaboration and alignment across Adevinta, actively participating in forums related to Global Advertising and diverse teams.

  • Financial Alignment: lead the alignment of budget processes, Long-Term Plans (LTP), Forecasting (FCs), and provide Human Capital (HC) support for the teams, ensuring that financial goals are synchronized with strategic initiatives.

  • Market Research and Analysis: conduct market research to understand the demands of our customers and the propositions of our competitors. Translate market insights into strategic actions and compelling narratives that influence our decision-making processes.

Who you are:

  • You own a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • You gained 5+ years demonstrated experience in business development, strategic planning, or a related role within the digital advertising space.

  • You can collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders at multiple levels and you can translate data and insights into applicable strategies and initiatives aligned with our goals.

  • You can conduct market research and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • On top, you understand budgeting processes and financial agreements to support strategic initiatives.
